“Worst Case Of Nepo”: Kim Kardashian’s Daughter North West Faces Hate Online For Young Simba Performance

North West, the oldest of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s four children, basked in the spotlight onstage during her performance as Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King live event in Los Angeles.

However, following the performance, the 10-year-old daughter experienced backlash from the internet, which labeled her performance as the “worst case” of nepotism.

The adolescent, who was one of the youngest performers to debut on Billboard’s Hot 100, performed in a two-day live production at The Hollywood Bowl on May 24 and 25.

North’s family members were in the audience, cheering her on as she sang the cartoon film’s song I Just Can’t Wait to Be King.

The little star wore a light yellow fuzzy hood and a zippered jumper as she played Young Simba. The costume also featured a matching pair of shorts and fuzzy boats.

The 10-year-old’s Young Simba performance comes only months after she landed her rap spot in the song Talking, which appeared on her music mogul father’s Vultures 1 album.

Kim, a proud mama and reality TV celebrity, shared a series of Instagram stories featuring her daughter’s rendition of Young Simba from the program. One of them was a photo with Jennifer Hudson, who appeared as a special guest during the live program.

Not everyone was pleased with her performance, with many claiming nepotism was the sole reason she got the role. Daily Mail cited a comment someone made: “The worst case of nepo I have witnessed,”

“Nepotism is the best thing to be born with,” someone else said.
