If you buy a ticket to or from the United States directly from Malaysia Airlines at least 7 days before departure and cancel it within 24 hours of booking, you will receive a full refund with no cancellation costs. The 24-hour grace period is applicable to all ticket categories, including non-refundable tickets.
If your flight is canceled and the alternative flight given does not suit you, you are entitled to a full refund.
