Lady Gaga is once again pushing the boundaries of fashion, donning an ensemble that has been compared to a “car part.”
The 38-year-old singer made a big entry at the Los Angeles premiere of her new concert video, Gaga Chromatica Ball, dressed entirely in white.
On Thursday, May 22, while walking the red carpet at NYA Studios in Hollywood, the Paparazzi vocalist revealed that her dress was made of a car part.
Selva, an Argentinian designer living in Berlin, created the sculptural costume, which included a one-shoulder corset dress topped with a shoulder piece resembling auto parts.
“On the red carpet, I explained it was a car part. “They asked what kind, and I said I don’t know, I’m not a mechanic,” the Born This Way singer said in the caption of an Instagram post.
Fans flooded the comments area with messages like “She’s back” and “Our Mother is back!”
The Chromatica Ball concert film follows the A Star Is Born actress on the Los Angeles leg of her 2022 Chromatica Ball tour.
During the Thursday premiere of the performance film, the musician answered questions with Access Hollywood‘s Scott Evans.
“I’m extremely fortunate to be here with all of you. “I’m excited,” she told the audience.
“It was such a beautiful time. This tour took place during a period when people didn’t think you could tour [due to the epidemic], and stadiums throughout the world were filled and sold out, with everyone dressed up and dancing and singing. I am just so excited for you all to witness what we created up close.”
