Britney Spears claims she has been the victim of theft, informing her millions of Instagram followers that someone stole all of her jewels — but she has yet to submit a police report.
She claimed on social media Sunday that she is the latest celebrity to be robbed at home.
The singer-songwriter turned to Instagram on Sunday night to release a video in which she shows her fans a succession of small empty drawers, claiming they were where she kept her costly items, which are now all gone.
She still has some minor items in the set-up, including a Virgin Mary pendant, but she says her bling is gone.
Spears states in the caption that she’s afraid to buy new jewelry following the claimed theft… because she’s afraid it will go missing.
Furthermore, several of the items in her collection held a lot of sentimental worth, making them genuinely precious.
Despite the footage, Brit appears to have not yet reported the incident to authorities. According to law enforcement sources, she has not reported a theft to the sheriff’s department, as Page Six originally claimed.
Of course, Spears is very active on social media, uploading several images and videos, including a recent one in which she swam completely naked in the water off a tropical beach.
She’s posted many times since alerting her admirers that her jewelry was gone. BTW… posting more dancing footage and a still from the film “Kill Bill: Vol. 2.”
Britney’s camp was contacted about her video but has yet to receive a response.
